All Over Again

I’ve been looking back over my life.
And I’ve seen how good You have been
I’ve seen the pain and the sorrow.
I’ve felt the grief and the loss.

And I’ve seen you in it all.
All over again, all over again

Through it all, you were my comfort.
Through it all, you gave me strength.
There was never a day or a night,
Never a moment that You weren’t in it.

You always saw me through God.
So I worship You with gratitude.

Now as I’m experiencing grief again in my life
I know how good You will be
Though the answers I do not yet see
I feel the pain, sorrow, and the loss.

And I’ve seen you in it all.

“All Over Again” is a Christian poem I wrote on grief and comfort. When we experience grief, we can rely on faith, comfort, gratitude, and the hope we can find in God. Its heartfelt words, I hope, offer encouragement to anyone walking through loss and in need of trusting God’s presence. I wrote it to help me as my dad faces cancer for the second time.
