Let me remain in darkness, blind to what is true.
In darkness I can hide from who I am.
Let me remain the same; don't make me new.
I refuse to look inside and exam.

I'm safe within my deceit and lies.
No need to change or repent.
Let me do right in my own eyes.
I need nothing to lament.
